Our Founder

Shantrice Bradley, LPC, MA, M.Ed.

I am the CEO and visionary behind House of M.A.E., a brand rooted in Melanin, Ambition, and Excellence. My journey began in higher education, where I had the privilege of supporting students across multiple campuses as they worked toward one of the most important milestones of their lives. While I celebrated their achievements, I could not ignore the reality of what many were silently carrying, stress, anxiety, and unmet mental health needs.

That experience changed me.

It pushed me to go deeper, to return to school, and to pursue mental health with intention. What started as a passion for supporting college students evolved into something much bigger. I realized my purpose was not confined to a campus. It is about creating impact in every space I enter and serving individuals from all walks of life as they navigate their own journeys.

My faith is at the center of everything I do. It grounds me, guides me, and reminds me that this work is bigger than me. I do not just want to inspire, I want to make a lasting impact in how people see themselves and how they care for themselves.

Outside of my work, I bring a vibrant, fun-spirited energy into everything I do. I love to travel, explore new experiences, and bring people together. I believe in the power of connection through storytelling, shared moments, and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued. I hold space for both healing and joy, because I truly believe they can exist at the same time.

House of M.A.E. is more than a brand to me. It is a movement. A movement that reminds you that you are worthy, you are evolving, and you are allowed to create a life that feels as good as it looks.

Our Story

On January 19, 2022, my world was shaken. I lost my grandmother, someone who had been a guiding light in my life. I found myself replaying her words over and over again. She always instilled in our family the importance of being your authentic self, going after what you desire, and doing it with excellence.

After her passing, I carried a deep weight. I kept asking myself how I was going to make her proud and how I would continue to carry her name in a meaningful way. For a while, I felt that responsibility heavily.

Then came a moment of clarity, a vision that felt placed on my heart. I knew I wanted to create something in her honor. What started as “Lady of M.A.E” began to grow as I grew. As my purpose became clearer and my understanding deepened, House of M.A.E. was born.

M.A.E. carries a deeper meaning. It is not only an acronym for Melanin, Ambition, and Excellence, but it is also my grandmother’s middle name, Mae, a name that holds legacy, love, and everything she poured into me

Along this journey, I began to reconnect with something that had always been a part of me, my love for stationery. What once felt like a simple interest evolved into something much more meaningful. I realized that stationery could be more than just paper and pens, it could be a tool for reflection, healing, intention, and growth. It became the platform I had been searching for, a way to not only express myself, but to create something that could support others in their own paths.

This is bigger than me. It is what was entrusted to me, and I carry it forward with pride.
